Go behind the scenes with Britain’s best comedy talent

We are very excited to announce an incredibly special prize donated by our friends at top comedy talent agency, PBJ Management & PBJ LIVE, who have very kindly donated an opportunity to go behind the scenes with some of the funniest comedians in Britain, see their shows and meet them in person!

Winners of our individual submission categories will get the chance to spend the day shadowing a comedy tour date of your choosing in 2021, from the list of comedians below.

Included in the day you will see all the behind the scenes details that go in to holding a comedy show – from the initial arrival at the venue to observing the technical set up and sound checks; before watching the show from either the audience seats, from the side of stage or from the technical operating box; followed by the take down after the show.

Winners will have the opportunity to meet the star comedian, as well and ask them questions, learn comedy tips, and pose for a selfie or two.

Included in the prize will be travel to and from the show and overnight accommodation if required for the winner plus a guardian.

Four winners will be announced, with each winner being able to choose a date with one of the following comedians. Tours planned for 2021 are:

• Fin Taylor

• Tiff Stevenson

• Adam Buxton

• Michael Spicer

• Stuart Maconie

• Rachel Fairburn

• Maisie Adam

All tour shows are subject to change due to the ongoing Covid -19 situation but PBJ Management are happy for the prize to be redeemed once we have a clearer picture of what’s happening, with details discussed with winning entrants directly.

Shaun Weager, Head of Live at PBJ Management says, “It’s our privilege to offer a very special behind the scenes prize experience for the individual winners of the Louise Rennison National Funny Award 2020.”

He continues “Britain has a great history of producing young comedians that go on to achieve some incredible things, and we’re very excited to see what the entrants of this year’s National Funny Award come up with as they start on their own comedic journeys.”

Shaun says “We hope this prize can help to inspire and encourage more young people to explore comedy and give it a try – after all there can never be enough laughter in the world!”
